Check-in is between 3:00 and 7:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am. Arriving later than 7pm or earlier than 3? Just let us know when you book and we’ll arrange a key and a porch light — it’s no trouble.
Yes, every room includes a full ranch breakfast served family-style from 7:30 to 9:30. If you’re leaving early for Devils Tower, tell us the night before and we’ll pack you a breakfast and a thermos to take along.
About 27 miles — roughly a 40-minute drive. We recommend going early; the morning light is best and the parking lot fills by mid-day in summer. We keep trail maps and the day’s road report at the front desk.
We love animals, but with a full house and a breakfast kitchen we can’t take pets in the guest rooms. We’re happy to point you to a good kennel in Spearfish. Trained service animals are always welcome.
Children over 10 are a great fit for the inn, and the Ponderosa and Devils Tower rooms have space for a rollaway. Because rooms share quiet hallways and breakfast is a shared table, we’re not the best choice for very young children — give us a call and we’ll be honest about the fit.
Yes to both — free off-street parking behind the house and fast Wi-Fi throughout, which often works better than your cell signal out here. Charging is easy; EV drivers will find public chargers in Spearfish and Gillette.
Cancel at least 7 days before arrival for a full refund of your deposit. Inside 7 days, we’ll refund the deposit if we’re able to rebook the room. Holiday and rodeo weekends may carry a two-night minimum.
The Inyan Kara Room is on the main floor with no stairs from the back entrance. The house dates to 1911 and does not have an elevator, so our upstairs rooms involve a flight of stairs. Call us and we’ll walk you through what will work.
